Biswal discusses Sri Lanka with Solheim

US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Nisha Desai Biswal has held a discussion on Sri Lanka with former Norwegian Minister and one-time special envoy for Sri Lanka, Erik Solheim.
Solheim is continuing to follow the developments in Sri Lanka.
The meeting between Biswal and Solheim was reported following their tweets about it.
Biswal has reportedly said she appreciated the chance to discuss Sri Lanka.
Solheim has said he was impressed with Biswal after the meeting adding that the US was playing a crucial role in supporting democracy and the rights of all communities in Sri Lanka.
The meeting takes plays following the adoption of a US backed resolution on Sri Lanka at the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) calling for an international investigation into Sri Lanka.
