Appealing Amunugama on his knees before president!

mahinda sarathMinister Sarath Amunugama has gone down on his knees before the president and appealed that he be given the position of SLFP organizer for Elpitiya electorate, according to Temple Trees sources. Responding, the president has told him sarcastically, because he well knows the reason behind the request, that he could not take a decision on his own, and that it is up to SLFP general secretary Maithripala Sirisena to take the final decision.

Later, at the cabinet meeting in front of all other ministers, the president has told the SLFP general secretary, “Mr. general secretary, our minister Amunugama wants the Elpitiya electoral organizer position. Help him if you can.” Pat came the reply from Maithripala Sirisena, “Minister Amunugama cannot be given Elpitiya. I am thinking of resigning from Polonnaruwa and taking up Elpitiya. Once in a while, we too, should…,” to the loud laughter by all members of the cabinet to his unfinished remark. Minister Amunugama’s request ended then and there.

Secretary swindles courtesy Faizer Mustafa!

fiser musthapaRifki Badiuddeen, a secretary of deputy minister of investment promotion  Faizer Mustafa, has misused several state-owned properties, including the defaulting of taxes due for several plots of land owned by the Janatha Estate Development Board, which he had obtained on 33 year and 90 year lease.
There was a case against him over a fraud he had committed regarding a one-and-a-half acre plot of land behind Mag City in Colombo. However, the law was manipulated and Rifki got escaped, thanks to his bribing skills.

Earlier too, he had bribed former chairmen of JEDB and misused lands owned by the state institution. Rifki publicly claims that no action is being taken against him as he had given a Rs. 5 million bribe to incumbent, Udaya Sri Kariyawasam, who is an accountant. He says without any fear that he had given the money to the JEDB chairman by cheque and that all documents pertaining to it were in his possession.

His legal matters are being handled by none other than deputy minister Faizer Mustafa, who enjoys all perks and privileges provided by the government as well. Also, Mustafa cannot do anything against his secretary, as it is through him that he gets women, his preference being older women, for himself. In addition, Rifki has given Rs. 100 million to Mustafa for assisting his land robberies, and threatened that no money will be given to the Qatar and Saudi funds.

If the JEDB is willing to send us an explanation with regard to this cheat, we can accommodate them in the website. Await a series of articles detailing the frauds committed by deputy minister Mustafa’s secretary….
