Bus collision in Jaffna: kills 3

Two drivers and 11 passengers were severely injured from a bus accident occurred at Point Pedro road this afternoon.

Police media spokesman SP Ajith Rohana stated Bus travelling from Point Pedro collided with a private bus transporting passengers towards Tangalle area. More than 10 individuals severely injured from the accident and rushed to the Jaffna Teaching hospital. Private bus driver Annalingam Amitharaj (34) resident of Udupitty area and Vlautham Senthi succumbed to their injuries. K.Thushara Ruwan and two other Sinhala youths were also injured from accident and currently receiving treatment at the Jaffna Teaching Hospital. Several other injured were receiving treatment in the ICU unit. Irupalai police hold further investigations this regard.
