Over 4,000 personnel at Welisara Navy Camp asked to self-qurantine

Around 4,000 Navy personnel and 194 families living inside the Welisara Navy Camp have been instructed to self-quarantine.
This was confirmed to Ceylon Today by Navy Spokesperson, Isuru Sooriyabandara.
He also said some personnel has been asked to undergo PCR testing.
The decision has been taken after 30 personnel attached to the camp were tested positive for COVID -19 over the last two days.
It is believed that the Navy personnel may have contracted the virus while they were taking part in detecting the possible COVID -19 carriers in Suduwella, Ja Ela.
Now steps have been taken to track the naval personnel who have gone on leave over the fast few days and have been asked to report to the camp to undergo PCR testing.
