Suspect with 165g of KG arrested in Anuradhapura

A suspect with 165 grams of kerala cannabis has been arrested by the Navy in coordination with Police Special Task Force (STF) at the Parasangaswewa junction in Anuradhapura yesterday (25).
Accordingly, a suspicious individual has been detected at the Parasangaswewa junction during a joint search conducted by the Navy and Settikulam Police STF division. During further search, 165 grams of kerala cannabis was found in his possession.
He has confessed that he was transferring cannabis for sale and accordingly, he was taken into custody.
The suspect has been identified as a 20 year old resident of Saliyapura in Anuradhapura. Him, along with the amount of cannabis has been handed over to the Parasangaswewa Police for further investigation.
