COPE chair to present CBSL bond scam report to Parliament
Nov 24 2019MP Sunil Handunnetti, Chairman of the Committee on Public Enterprise (COPE), is scheduled to present the Forensic Audit report on the bonds scam by Central Bank to the Parliament within the next few days.
He revealed that the Central Bank has responded to his request that he will be provided with the Forensic Audit reports pertaining to this particular bonds transaction.
The report will be presented after the Parliament convenes Tuesday (03). Adding on to the fact that he is confident that President Gotabaya Rajapaksa will take appropriate action for this situation.
MP Handuneththi also stated that immediate action must be taken to fulfill the promises given by former President Maithripala Sirisena and the present government.
