Many UNP supporters are watching in shock the way Minister Ravi Karunanayake is being treated by the UNP.

Ravi K is the Assistant Leader of the Party. It is a well known fact that Ravi Karunanayake bank rolled the party for years. He was a close associate of Ven Sobitha Thero.

The person who masterminded the entire Yahapalana campaign until the crossover of President Sirisena. The big beneficiaries of the government President, PM and the Sirisena Family and the Wickremesinghe friends have now happily washed off their hands and forgotten the very man who put his life at risk to get Sirisena elected as President.

95% of those surrounding the President did not work to get the President elected. But now the President is foolishly getting advice from people who openly campaigned to make sure Sirisena lost the election.

How stupid is that Mr President? President Sirisena is happily prosecuting the very people who helped him to get elected without going after the plunderers. Ranil Wickremesinghe is no different , he has surrounded himself with people who are only interested in saving their jobs and their illegal fund flows. They are not interested in his welfare.

Wickremesinghe’s downfall once again is Malik Samarawickrama, Charitha Ratwatte and the notorious R Paskaralingem. Before the Prime Minister asks Ravi Karunanayake to step down he should sack the Srilankan CEO Suren Ratwatte and Chairman Ajith Dias for causing losses of over 30 Billion Rupees due to mismanagement and cozy deals.

Ravi K and the UNP must demand for it first. If the PM wishes to protect his friends, then the President must appoint a commission for Srilankan immediately to investigate the losses.

No body in the future will come forward to help Sirisena or Wickremesinghe again at an election, other than the deal makers around them to protect themselves from going to jail.
This is a tragedy in waiting!
