Sri Lanka Navy nabs two persons with 135 kg of Kerala Cannabis
June 25, Colombo: On receipt of information to the Navy, Sri Lankan Navy personnel have arrested two individuals with 135 kg of Kerala cannabis (Kerala Ganja) in the North.
A group of naval personnel attached to the North Central Naval Command together with Mannar Narcotics Division, conducted a joint raid and apprehended two suspects with 135 kg of Kerala Cannabis yesterday evening (June, 24), the Navy said.
The suspects were apprehended while they were transferring the stock of cannabis by a Bolero Cab near Swamithottam Church in Thalaimannar. The consignment had been stocked in 59 packages.
The arrested suspects, vehicle and the stock of cannabis were handed over to the Mannar Police for onward investigations.
