Pilots Guild Wants SriLankan Airlines’ CEO Capt. Ratwatte To Go !

Members of the Airline Pilots Guild of Sri Lanka disgusted with the behavior of its CEO Capt. Suren Ratwatteof SriLankan Airlines at the meeting held on the 21st April 2016, has called for an emergency meeting to discuss means of having him ousted, Colombo Telegraph reliably learns.
At the concluded meeting the former Emirates Airline pilot and now CEO of SriLankan Airlines Capt. Ratwatte had openly blackmailed senior pilot Capt. Sujith Jayasekara.
This was when he wanted to keep the very senior pilot quiet and prevent him from asking persistent questions that led to his embarrassment.
“If you dont keep quiet I will have no choice but to expose an incident involving you that happened 30 years ago” CEO Capt. Ratwatte had gone on to blackmail him.
“However nobody knew what he was referring to” a pilot present at the meeting said.
The CEO had then even gone on to threaten the other pilots that he will have them ‘gutted’, a term used by gangsters to stab someone in the stomach and disembowel their internal organs. This is besides using the word ‘fuck’ at a meeting where he is reported to have gone berserk.
The pilots who were shell shocked by the CEO’s behaviour are also upset about a secret deal that has now come to light involving him, Chairman Ajith Dias, a soon to be recruited Chief Technical Officer Dinnaga Padmaperuma and former Air Lanka and Emirates Airline pilot, retired Capt.Suhail Hashim, who is now a domiciled businessman in Canada.
It has been established that the CEO in tandem with Chairman Ajith Dias is attempting to replace the Airbus A 320 aircraft with a smaller one named the Bombardier, which seats approximately 104 to a maximum of around 140 passengers.
“The CEO has under performed in his capacity in the first six months. Even his confirmation has been delayed. What he is trying to do now is make a fast buck before he gets kicked out eventually. Despite his nepotistic appointment,due to being the brother of Charitha Ratwatte who is a close friend of Premier Ranil Wickremesinghe, he has under performed in his role in his first six months. Even his confirmation has been delayed due to this. Though we agreed earlier to forego our annual increments on condition, we are now contemplating in telling him in his own choicest words to rather “fuck off”, said a pilot of the guild who was threatened at the meeting.
