Govt. should create environment for people at Thotalanga to live like human beings

“It is human beings who live here. It is the responsibility of the government to find a process for them to live like human beings,” said the Member of the Political Bureau of the JVP K.D. Lal Kantha to the media when he visited yesterday (19th) the people at Thotalanga whose houses have been displaced due to their houses being dismantled by authorities.

They were strong supporter s of the UNP and they have engaged in Minister Ravi Karunanayaka’s election campaigns said residents whose houses have been demolished. They told Mr. Lal Kantha that Minister Karunanayaka had said they would be allowed to build their houses in the area but now authorities have demolished their houses.
