From king’s life to small bungalow in Pasikudah!

In this period last year, Mahinda Rajapaksa was living like a king, being attended to by all kinds of attendants. He had been thinking of remaining as king forever. But, it took just a few months to turn everything upside down for him. Another gang of schemers stepped on his shoulders saying ‘let’s rise up with Mahinda’ and made their way into parliament. They were able to take Mahinda unawares that he was being sold by them.

Then, Mahinda was mad over the song ‘Ey rate minissu thanikara kelinne pissu.’ Now, he has to sing the latest hit by the same singer, ‘apita nodeni api vikinena puduma ratak meka oyi.’

The pictures show the ex-president having a leisurely time, along with his two sons and a friend who has been close to him all the time, at a small circuit bungalow at the Pasikudah beach, owned by a former government minister. None of those who said then, ‘let’s rise up with Mahinda’ are with him today. Those schemers who made their way into parliament are making deals with the new government.

Mahinda Rajapaksa is now free of the burden in his mind that worried him last year. He is enjoying the splendor of a life without power. These pictures are a clear demonstration of that.
