No breakthrough had been in their investigations as regards the body of a woman found at the Bastian Road bus station in Pettah yesterday morning, police said last night.

The victim believed to be about 30 years old was found inside a large travelling bag.

The Police Media Unit said that the woman had not been identified and requested the media to publish her picture.

The body was taken to the Colombo police mortuary last evening after the Magistrate visited the scene. The postmortem would be conducted on Thursday, the police said.

According to Scene of Crime Officers (SOCO), blood had been found on the victim’s nostrils and the body had been folded and squeezed into the bag which also contained some clothes.
