Mahinda seeks help from Indian gods

Mr. Mahinda Rajapaksa after handing over nomination papers has left to Thirupaty Hindu Temple in India in a special ‘SriLanakan’ aircraft.
TUESDAY, 09 DECEMBER 2014Indian media reports strict security arrangements have been made for Mr. Rajapaksa’s visit. He and his entourage will go by road from Renigunta airport to Tirumala hills where the temple is. After offering prayers late in the evening and again participating in the pre-dawn ritual on Wednesday, he will motor down the hills by 8.15 am, reach airport by 9.30 am and fly back to Colombo reports Indian Media.
Mr. Mahinda Rajapaksa called for the presidential election, the extra special gazette for the announcement of the election was signed and handing over of the nomination paper was done on instructions from astrologer Sumanadasa Gunawardena. The visit to the Thirupaty Hindu Temple is to get blessings of gods say sources.
