UN chief Ban Ki-moon, it could be said, has, with exceptional perceptiveness, sized-up a prime challenge facing the world currently in connection with the multiplicity of humanitarian crises which are upon it. The task confronting humanity is to think ‘out of the box’ in its efforts to find solutions to the issues arising from tens of thousands of people being displaced every now and then in conflicts and wars around the world. Issues in this context must be defused before they snowball into major crises, the UN Secretary General had reportedly stressed.
