Government collects information on UNP/JVP supporting state sector employees in run up to polls

The Ministry of Irrigation and Water Resource Management in a letter has requested information of United National Party and Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna supporters, who are employees of state sector organisations.

The letter dated Septermber 11, signed by Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva’s Coordinating Secretary G. Illeperuma, also states that the information provision should be treated as “an urgent matter.”
