Army’s postal voting results leaked!
- Saturday, 20 September 2014

The postal voting results of the Army at the Uva provincial council election have been leaked, say internal sources of the Army. That had happened because soldiers had exercised their postal voting rights openly. An officer who has told us about this said they had resorted to such action to prevent irregularities.
Accordingly, results at the Engineering Corps in Narahenpita are – total votes 19, UNP 17 votes and JVP 2 votes.
Officers and soldiers at several Army camps have acted in a similar manner. They wanted to evaluate whether votes are being counted properly.
