Government says will not implement all LLRC recommendations

The government has said it will not implement all the recommendations in the Lessons Learnt and Reconciliation Commission (LLRC).

Cabinet Spokesperson, Minister Keheliya Rambukwella has told the media that the LLRC report will not be seen as a Bible and all the recommendations will not be implemented.

He has said that the government will only implement recommendations it feels can be done.

Rambukwella has added that while there are some recommendations which can be implemented in the short term there are others which need constitutional amendments which will take a longer time.
