Chandi malli’s son, Chandi Amila all of rowdy regime attacks hospital staff – Police asleep as always
(Lanka-e-News-16.Jan.2014, 7.00AM) Embilipitiya local body chairman M.K.Amila , the son of Medamulana criminal ‘chandi malli’ who was murdered earlier on , had along with a group of his thugs assaulted brutally two employees of the Tissamaharama base hospital within the hospital premises itself. 

Though the two workers were admitted to hospital and a complaint had been lodged with the police , no action has been taken yet.

This unlawful attack had been launched at about 1.00 at dawn yesterday (15) .

Amila had arrived at the base hospital in a ‘ Cab’ vehicle along with his gang of goons citing the ground that an insect had crept into the ear of one of his goons, and therefore to secure medical treatment.

Since Chandi Malli’s son Amila has parked his ‘Cab’ within the hospital premises blocking the path along which the ambulances have to travel , the hospital security officer had advised Amila to park the vehicle elsewhere after explaining him the reason. Amila who was provoked by this request had screamed ‘yakko do you know who I am?’ and begun moving towards the security officer to assault him , when a health service staff assistant who saw this had intervened, whereupon , Amila and his goons had set about and brutally attacked them.

The victims of the assault were health service staff assistant Pasindhu Ranasinghe Madusanka and security officer Indika Amala Kumara. Both of them are warded and taking indoor treatment at the hospital .

It is significant to note that M.K.Amila the thug is the younger son of late Chandi Malli the criminal , while M.K. Kasun is the elder son . Under this lawless reign , unsurprisingly both are chairpersons of local bodies : Amila is chairman of Emblipitiya local body and Kasun is chairman of Beliatta local body. 

Kasun who visited the hospital has had discussions with the two victims. However , the hospital employees say , if the police do not arrest the assailants , the entire hospital staff is contemplating staging a strike.

It is well to recall how this Chandi Malli’s son Amila sometime ago , arrived armed with a gang and tried to attack and shoot the police officers because the traffic police imposed a fine on an assistant of his at Panamure. They assaulted the police with the butts of their guns and threatened to shoot them after shooting into the air . Despite all that violence and attempts at murder , the police were stymied in their efforts to arrest Amila , yet another MaRa regime marauder and murderer. Only later they surrendered to the court, but still nobody knows what happened to the case or where it went and hid . The culprits went unpunished. 

Believe it or not ! when SSP Prishantha Jayakody took due action and sought to safeguard the police prestige , the criminal defense secretary of Sri Lanka , Gotabaya on the other hand, under this bestial reign and in keeping with the prevailing jungle laws insisted that the SSP should ask for pardon from the marauder and thug ‘chandi Amila’. Prishantha who refused left SL in disgust.

In the circumstances , if the lesson that could not be taught by the police to these political goons and gangs under this lawless reign , can be taught by the hospital staff , it would be a great service in the best interests of the nation, towards which the people too will extend their support.
