Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa met leading weapons dealers at Marriott hotel in Dubai on Wednesday and defence secretary returned to Colombo on the same night.

According to reports, members of the Rajapaksa family are in the habit of citing various reasons to gain easy access to a foreign country when they are in want of overseas tours. These reasons include - that they are being under pressure by other members of the Rajapaksa family, that they are suffering from cancer or other fatal ailment or that their links with other members of the Rajapaksa family have broken up.
