Sri Lanka row threat to Games
Campaigners including Amnesty Scotland have warned that countries could boycott the event amid the controversy over alleged human rights abuses.
Shadow foreign secretary Douglas Alexander has warned that Sri Lankan leader President Rajapaksa "will inevitably face continuing questions on allegations of war crimes and human rights abuses if he visits Scotland next summer".
But sources close to Mr Alexander said Mr Cameron still had time to ensure those questions did not blight the Games. Downing Street has said the event could be used to highlight alleged abuses.
