(Lanka-e-News-13.Nov.2013, 10.00PM) Rajapakse regime soldiers in civil clothes have attacked the official car of the opposition leader Ranil Wickramasinghe when he was being driven to the 2013 function of the human rights commenced by the Samagi Balavegaya today. A spokesman for the opposition leader said , but for the timely intervention of the security personnel the shutters of the vehicle could have been broken and the opposition leader might have been assaulted. These assailants have been identified as soldiers of the Panagoda army camp.Mahinda Kahandagamage a shameless double faced stooge of the regime together with a group opposing the human rights function had joined with the soldiers in civil attire , and about 200 to 300 of them had staged protests hurling filthy abuses . This group had been transported by government vehicles . Among them were vehicles of the government public administration. There was also another group congregating to break into the human rights exhibition ground , while the police are turning a blind eye , it is learnt.
Ranil Wickremesinghe had entered the venue of the function through another door. The unlawful incident had been reported to the Speaker (He is also Regime Member Chamal Rajapaksha) and the IGP.
An organizer of the function questioned , while the third covenant of the commonwealth is the right of freedom of expression , is this the way that right is being safeguarded by obstructing the opposition leader who held Prime Minister post twice from participating in the human rights function ?
Some time ago too , the vehicle of the opposition leader was attacked by the Rajapakse hired soldiers when he went to attend the funerals of fishermen at Beruwala who died as a result of the hurricane.
May be he is a murderer , dictator, a robber of public funds, and who tramples the rule of law , this Medamulana MaRa who is now puffed up with pride after becoming the chairman of the CHOGM (commonwealth heads of government summit) has lost his sanity and patience stemming from his overweening vanity , and is demonstrating his murderous and arrogant qualities even as CHOGM is about to begin. Sending back foreign journalists and senators of countries participating in the CHOGM , and attacking the opposition leader of his own country who was twice the prime Minister are clear symptoms of that insanity and maniacally arrogant propensities.
