Requesting resettlement for the  people in Waligamam north locality which is under the domination of forces, a hunger protest would be held on the forthcoming 15th Friday and opposition party leader Ranil Wickramasinghe will tour to Jaffna to attend the protest is according to information.
Democratic People’s Front Leader Mano Ganeshan will too join the protest.
Appealing to release the peoples dwelling at Waligamam north, and opposing to the houses getting demolished by the forces, a massive hunger protest is organized by the Waligamam north Peoples Resettlement Committee.
24 Grama Sevaka divisions coming under Waligamam north is still not released by the forces. Permanent security fence is erected in the intention of not permanently releasing these areas.
Houses located in the periphery along the permanent security fence area are getting flattened by the forces.
Objecting to this, the Waligamam north Peoples Resettlement Committee  has organized a hunger protest on the forthcoming 15th, at the Tellipalai Durgai Amman temple premises.
Tamil National Alliance, Democratic People’s Front, National Fishermen Coordination movement, Northern Province Fishermen Alliance have given their consent to this protest  and in this state, the United National Party also have given its support.
Opposition party leader Ranil Wickramasinghe and vital leaders are journeying to Jaffna to participate in this protest.
 The group headed by opposition party leader Ranil Wickramasinghe will visit Jaffna University, Nallai Aathinam, Archbishop House and Buddhist temple and will meet the civil society representatives and hold discussions is according to reports.
