Abuse complaint about Principal appointment. Jaffna Education Zone request period to explain.

Discrimination is shown on the appointment of Principal to the Jaffna Kanagarathinam Central Maha Vidyalayam was stated, and a complaint was lodged at the Human Rights Commission, and to reply this, the Education Department have requested 10 days’ time was said by Human Rights Commission's Jaffna Regional Commissioner T.Thanagaraj to "Udayan" press.
He said an interview was held last year October month towards the vacant position of a Principal for the Kanagarathinam Central Maha Vidyalayam.
Accordingly the vacancy was filled by a Principal from the Periyapulam Maha Vidyalayam.
Meanwhile S.James Girl's School Principal has made a complain to Sri Lanka Human Rights Commission's Jaffna Regional branch notifying that he is the most eligible applicant to get appointed to this vacant position, but discrimination has been shown towards him by appointing the new Principal.
Concerning this, Education Ministry Secretary L.Sathiyaseelan was asked to explain by the Human Rights Commission.
Meanwhile the petitioner refused to accept the explanation given by the Education Ministry Secretary and appealed for another inquiry date.
Apparently the first inquiry was held on last January month 24th. Education Ministry Secretary had informed that he cannot attend the hearing, as he is proceeding to Colombo and the case was postponed.
The prescribed issue was taken for inquiry on the date prescribed.
Respondents were, Deputy Secretary P.Wickneswaran on behalf of Education Department, Provincial Administration Director and Jaffna Education Zone Deputy Education Director appeared.
The respondents appealed they require 10 days’ time to respond to the above issue, hence the inquiry was postponed.
If respondents do not respond within the allocated 10 days’ time to the Human Rights Commission’s Jaffna Regional office, this matter will be handed over to Colombo head office was said by Regional Commissioner.
