Ulama Council has decided to forward written request to National Intelligence unit, Intelligence unit and Defense Ministry to visit their office and hold investigation concerning the allegations charged by “Pothubala Sena” movement regarding Halal certificate finance transaction.
The actual situation can be verified after investigation through government hierarchies to Sinhala community, is also a request, decided by the Ulama Council.
The Ulama council Halal certification unit is engaged in organizing sufficient evidence to clarify the actual state by meeting the Pothubala Sena movement the group which is exaggerating this crisis.
Ulama Council inform that their accounts are accurately maintained and it is much transparent hence to establish the actual situation to the public, any one could publish the reports in media was a public announcement made by the Ulama Council.
Through Halal certificates, annually 80 billion rupees is getting accumulated to the Ulama Council, and whether this finance is utilized for the Muslim terrorism movements which are functioning in foreign countries, should be immediately investigated by the government was a request made by Pothubala Sena two days back.
Concerning the Halal certificate, and the finance acquired towards this, many doubts have emerged in the midst of people and to eradicate such misunderstandings the Ulama council last week provided an clarification through video.
