SLFP too had to condemn the murders

“Sri Lanka Freedom Party expresses its vehement condemnation regarding the heinous shooting targeting a JVP propaganda rally held at Katuwana area in Walasmulla” is a part of a media release issued with the signature of  SLFP Treasurer Minister Dulles Alahapperuma.
What is peculiar is that the murders were committed on the 15th but the SLFP had to wait until a day after the funerals of Ms. Edirimannage Manel and Nimanthe Rohan to issue the press release.
