Amare the brutal double murderer given Rajapakses’ STF security
(Lanka-e-News-18.June.2012, 2.00PM) When the whole country and opposition parties are agitating to arrest the notorious criminal Geethanagamge Amarasena alias Julampitiya Amare over the brutal killing of two JVP members when they were holding a meeting with the Public at Katuwana, Hambantota ,(President’s electorate) , based on reports reaching Lanka e news , the murderer Amare is on the contrary being provided with six STF soldiers for his personal security by the Rajapakses .
This STF group is from that which is providing security to the Carlton House of Rajapakses. Though a top level CID group had arrived to conduct investigations at Katuwana,, it is common knowledge going by the Govt. investigations in the past ,that the Rajapakses entrust these investigations not to catch the culprit but to suppress truth.
The Bharatha Lakshman murder , the museum robbery and two Buddhist prelate murders at Kotte bear testimony to this fact. It is the habit and hobby of the Rajapakses to misdirect to suit their needs and quash the investigations.
The residents say , the CID is conducting investigations after arriving in Katawuna in the most queer way. As soon as Amare the suspect’s name is mentioned , they don’t record his name . They put words into the witness’ mouth by saying if you see you can’t identify him know? In order to exclude him in the identification parade the police cops make a record accordingly.
The cops say , when Namal Rajapakse comes to Hambantota , he travels publicly with Amare , and even messages to the police are conveyed through him . They also lamented that when Amare the criminal a byword for lawlessness comes to the police station , without alighting from his defender jeep he gives orders disdainfully to cops ‘ I say ask the OIC to come’. The OIC who is supposedly an enforcer of the law then like a stray dog which has been offered a rotten bone dashes towards him. This is the lawless and degrading scenario in this police station , the low rung cops pointed out.

Every ordinary police officer of police stations , Katuwana, Walasmulla, Wereaketiya,Tangalle ,Middeniya and Thanamalvila express these same sentiments.
Even when Amare killed an officer of the Forces , and assaulted a police officer, laws could not be enforced against him because the Rajapakses gave full protection to Amare . In this incident too the laws are being trampled ruthlessly to save a ruthless murderer by a ruthless regime, the cops stated . Laws have gone to the dogs in this country with this Rajapakse balu administration , they added.
