(Lanka-e-News-19.March.2012,11.50PM) There had arisen a number of doubts and suspicions in regard to the recent robbery at the Colombo Museum where a number of valuable articles including those of great historic value were stolen. So far , it has been detected that 8 ancient swords of the Kandy kingdom era , 18 most valuable rings and currencies, 3 upper portions of walking sticks have been robbed. The police say they have initiated a scientific investigation. But , by now a great many doubts and suspicions surround this crime.The first of these is : contradictory views are being expressed in regard to the security camera system. According to the Museum Directress , Prof. Ms.Nanda Wickremesinghe the camera system was functioning perfectly and the video tape was handed over to the police, adding that this camera which is sans alarm signal had a night vision system.
