Sri Lankan Government’s chief peace negotiator meets Solheim in Oslo

Sri Lankan Government’s chief peace negotiator and Minister Nimal Siripala De Silva, who is currently on a Norway visit met Norwegian Develop Minister Eric Solheim and other Ministry of Foreign Affairs official in Oslo yesterday and held discussions on the present situation in Sri Lanka and the past cease-fire agreement.

Sources close to the Sri Lankan minister said the talks had lasted nearly an hour and they focussed on ongoing political conflicts, UN Panel Report, Political Solution to long running conflict between ethnic Tamil minorities and the Sri Lankan state and issues surrounding displaced persons.
