Lanka e News is in receipt of information that the recent tragedy at the Maha Oya STF camp where ASP Sisira Kumara and OIC of the camp Jayatileke supposedly died in a shoot out , that the Rajapakse regime is behind the story circulated about the double murder, and that the story is its concoction to camouflage the true picture. Moreover , kudu Duminda who killed Bharatha in the quadruple murder is also involved in that double murder , reports say. The story published is , the two officers shot each other face to face . But ,the wounds do not bear out this claim as the wounds are on the rear sides of their heads. Besides , why were the weapons allegedly used by them not forwarded to the Govt. analyst Dept. ? Where is the STF soldier of the Maha Oya camp who went missing after the shooting incident. During the investigations it has came to light that his name is spurious. It is now clear that this so called ‘ soldier’ is not of the STF camp. The Driver of Sisira Kumara had told in evidence that he heard the shooting in one uninterrupted sequence ( a burst ). It is common knowledge that if shooting has occurred with the use of two pistols , such a sound cannot result. The most intriguing issue on this inquiry is , so far not even an oral statement of Sisira Kumara’s driver had been recorded. |
Both these police officers had been very close friends and there hadn’t been any rifts between them . Hence , the story concocted that these two officers shot each other is an absolute lie. Moreover , Jayatileke specially is a person who is calm and composed and never gets over emotional . In addition he was in his retirement phase of his career . In short , Jaytileke had never acted unlawfully even towards the LTTE suspects taken into custody in the past. He had only taken measures legally. The entire STF are aware therefore this story of Jayatileke shooting the ASP is most absurd and a well woven fairy tale by interested parties.
When Sisira Kumara was stationed in Colombo , he was hot on the trail of ‘kudu’ dealers . Duminda was smarting over the arrests made by him of heroin dealers who are close henchmen of Duminda. The latter therefore via Gotabaya got ASP Sisira Kumara transferred to Batticaloa . After going to Batticaloa , Sisra Kumara had not however abandoned his chase after the kudu dealers . He had provided the information he had collected about these dealers to the STF , and has not allowed his campaign against ‘kudu’ to flag. Duminda Silva who has underworld connections and with drug peddlers was naturally annoyed , and he bore an inveterate grudge against ASP Sisira Kumara. Indeed , he has thrown a party on hearing that Sisira Kumara had died.
The officers of the STF are all aware of these facts although Gotabaya pretends not to know like a gorakaya . Another person against whom an accusing finger was pointing was Nimal Lansa a close associate of Duminda in the heroin business who crossed over from the UNP to the Govt. Nimal Lansa’s house was raided owing to these activities recently on orders from the IGP . But Lansa had information ahead of the raid.
Mahinda Rajapakse who is safeguarding and shielding kudu Duminda who murdered Bharatha in cold blood , on hearing that another kudu dealer Lansa’s (noted in his area among the residents as a kudu Mudalali ) house had also been raided, made a bee line to Lansa’s house in Negombo to rescue him. The most interesting part of this President’s trip to Lansa ‘s house is , he had of all people taken with him Minister Mervyn Silva , another notorious leader of the underworld gangs and dealers in kudu and ‘ecstasy’ drugs.
