No Fire Zone documentary wins Britdoc Impact award  22 November 2014 The ‘No Fire Zone: The Killing Fields of Sri Lanka’ documentary was one of 5 documentaries to win a Britdoc Impact prize on Friday. The Britdoc Impact awards, held by the non-profit Britdoc organisation, honour documentaries that have had significant impact in work towards social change and justice. As a consequence of winning the Britdoc Impact award, the documentary as also been nominated to enter a competition with other documentaries called the “#Netflixhi5” award, where the it could potentially win an extra $5000 of funding for its campaign. A vote for the No Fire Zone documentary to win the #NetflixHi5 award can be placed by adapting and tweeting “#NetflixHi5 to @nofirezonemovie via @C4BRITDOC.” The documentary is also up for nomination at the Emmy awards next week.
