The Vice Chairman in Kekirawa Pradeshiya Sabha, Anura Bandara Herath, has been arrested on charges of assaulting a school principal, allegedly because his daughter had gotten wet in the rain.
The principal in question had sent students from the school to the Kekirawa Town yesterday in order to pay homage to the Sacred Buddha relics which was taken in a special motorcade to be deposited in the ‘Sandahiruseya’ in Anuradhapura.
