Premakeerthi's wife summoned to CCD

Nirmala de Alwis, widow of slain artiste Premakeerthi de Alwis, has been immediately summoned to the Colombo Crime Division to obtain a statement.
Accordingly, Ms. Nirmala has gone to the CCD premises in Dematagoda, together with Attorney-At-Law Lakshan Dias a short while ago. (August 14)
The CCD has initiated a special probe into Ms. Nirmala's recent
statement which cited that present SLBC chairman Hudson Samarasinghe is linked to the murder of Premakeerthi de Alwis.
Meanwhile, Samarasinghe has sent Ms. Nirmala a letter of demand through his lawyers yesterday (August 13) seeking Rs. 500m as compensation for the damage caused to his reputation through such derogatory statements.
