A sub inspector and a police constable arrested have been arrested and produced before the Galle magistrate's Court today (06).
The magistrate ordered the suspects to be remanded until the 13th of this month.
Seven other police officers have been arrested in connection with the murder and have been remanded.
The two businessmen Manjula Asela Kumara (33) and Rasin Chintaka (31), who went missing on 23rd January, had been abducted and killed allegedly by a group of officers attached to the Southern Province's Special Investigations Unit of police. Burnt remains of the two businessmen were discovered from the Hevandeniya forest reserve in Walasmulla on February 22.
