People prepared to eradicate dengue but rulers have no plan – Bimal

The government has no proper programme to curb the dengue epidemic that is spreading at an alarming speed throughout the country says the National Organizer and Member of the Political Bureau of the JVP Parliamentarian Bimal Rathnayaka.

Sspeaking at a press conference held at the head office of the JVP yesterday (6th) Mr. Rathnayaka said the people and the media were prepared to eradicate the mosquito menace from the country but due to the absence of a proper programme the situation has worsened he pointed out.

He said the JVP has taken a decision to carry out a programme, especially in schools, throughout the island to make the school going population aware of the menace and tell the people the political impotency of the rulers that has lead to the pathetic situation the country and the people are confronted with at present.
