For the Arab world, the danger is around the corner. Gulf countries more vulnerable today to Iranian influence and intervention than any time in the past. The old type of Safavid war has already begun between Iran and Arab.

( December 14, 2016, London, Sri Lanka Guardian) Today is one of saddest days in Muslim history. This day will go down as one of bloodiest days in Muslim history. In 1258 Hulagu Khan destroyed the centre of Islamic civilization, Today, Assad is destroying Aleppo in the same way Hulagu Khan did in 1258 but the difference is today with support of Russians and Iranian.

Thousands of children, elderly, ladies, men, young and old are cornered by Assad forces. It is reported that many men are separated and being tortured and massacred by Shia militia and Assad force. Nearly 80.000 people have been cramped into 2 mile Square areas and have been bombarded and starved to death in this cold weather without any human remorse and any kind of human feeling or kindness. Animals would have been far better than these human animals of Assad forces. Bodies are everywhere on the streets of Aleppo and yet, inhuman animals of Assad forces are shooting all innocent ladies and children. One family which famous for opposing Assad was entirely wiped out, even children and ladies of that family are not spared.

Muslim world has not realised this is a proxy Shia and Sunni war. Sunni Muslim world heavily depended on western world to help Aleppo and its people. The entire world let down people of Aleppo. It is a pathetic situation now in Aleppo.

This happens while all Arab world around them is watching and doing nothing. 1.5 billion Muslims are watching while this tragedy is unfolding. They could not do anything to stop or block this genocide of modern time. UN described this as “a meltdown in humanity in Aleppo”.

What has gone wrong and why it took five years to come at this stage.

First, some countries were complicit at some point to find solution. Why US did not intervene during the last four years before Russian entered the scene? Why western power did not intervene in this war while they have intervened in many wars? These are some of the questions that have been asked by many people. Former Chancellor George Osborne said that “we share responsibility for what is happening in Syria” He said “Aleppo had not come out of a vacuum but due to a vacuum of western and British leadership”

Boris Johnson British foreign Secretary said “it would not be safe for the UK to try and drop into the city because, air space was controlled by the Syrian and its ally Russia and other combatants”.

It was debated in British parliament in August 2013 if British government could intervene in response to alleged use of chemical weapon that killed 1400 people in Syria by Syrian forces. MPs voted 285-272. See how this vote is defeated only by 13 votes. Now most of MPs who voted against it may feel sorry for this situation. This vote was taken to see if British government could join US for a joint Air strikes against Syrian Army in 2013 and yet, some politician in US opposed this move and while British parliament did not get its approval.

There were golden opportunities missed in this war for Aleppo.

It was in September 2015 that Aleppo was in the brink of victory for opposition forces. Assad army was begging for food from opposition in 2015. Assad Army was cornered into 3 streets but Assad went to Russia to get his support and Russia sent fighter jets to support Assad Amy in Aleppo.

That turned the tide in this war.

The opposition forces were in a strong position in Aleppo for four years from 2011 until Russian intervention. This was like similar scenario with LTTE in 2005. LTTE came in brink of victory in 2005 and even Sri Lankan army could not drop food for its forces in 2005 due to LTTE’s grip over Jaffa. Arab and Muslim leaders too had some golden opportunities. But they always wait until last minutes. No any good plan for future among Arab leaders and they do not predict how Iran is moving and how Iran is hitting them back.

While Russian fighter jets are bombing in Syria western fighter jets cannot engage in Syrian Sky…it would have created world war3. West missed all golden opportunities to move on. It missed many opportunities to get rid of Assad while opposition forces are on march to victory in many places. Moreover, manpower given by Iranian on this war is huge in scale. Iran Shia militia, Iraq Shia militia, Hezbollah Shia mulita, Afghanistan Shia militia and many groups of Shia militia all joined in this war to fight with Assad force. While Western power engaged in a futile negotiation, Assad forces with Russian support made gains in the battle field. Even Now, UN and all western countries try to get safe passage to get people out of Aleppo and yet, Shia militia are blocking the road and they do not let anyone come out. Syrian government did not give any safe passage to any groups in the past and did not respect UN and its teams at all. It broke its promise many times. Syria has done all these atrocities taking a cover from Iran and Russian. Now who will punish Russia and Iran for all these atrocities? Will they get away with these atrocities? Today UN is a real mockery? Its power and its dignity is already buried under the carpet by Russian and Iranians.

For the Arab world, the danger is around the corner. Gulf countries more vulnerable today to Iranian influence and intervention than any time in the past. Old type of safavid war has already begun between Iran and Arab. Sunni Iraq under Sadam Hussain has been like shield for all Gulf countries from Iran onslaught on Arab gulf nations. That shield has been removed and Iran is freely roaming in Gulf now. What more is now with Russian and Assad Support Iranian influence will increased soon in the Gulf region. It has openly supported Rebels in Yemen to encircle Saudi from all corners. For Russia Iran is more important than Gulf nations. Gulf nations for the last 7 decades depended on West to their safety and security so Russia do not have any sympathy for Gulf nations. Moreover, Russian is going back in history to establish its military base in ME. It has already had its base in ME before 1972 and now once again it is gaining its influence in ME with Assad, and Iran support. SISI too has got good relation with Russians now. So, future of ME is bleak for many reasons and for many factors play around in ME today.

In these geopolitics, people of Syria are caught up and there is no relief for them until humanity wake up and genuinely help people of Syria. Aleppo is not end of Middle East war it could be beginning of ME war for many years to come or even it could lead to world war 3 if this crazy Putin is in power and Crafty Iran is inciting Shia-Sunni war in Gulf countries. What is next and what could Arab and Muslim leaders should do now. How to control Iranian influence should be number one priority today for Arab Gulf countries before it is too late.
