Sarath Jayamanne to Bribery Commission?

It is reported that arrangements are been made for the vacancy created by the resignation of the  Director General of the Bribery and Corruption Investigating unit ,Dilrukshi Dias Wicremasinghe,President Maithripala  Sirisena is contemplating in appointing a additional Solicitor General of the Attorney General's department President's council Sarath Jayamanne.

He is a diploma  graduate in Forensic medicine from the Sri Jayawardenapura university has obtained a post graduate diploma from the Oxford University has had over 25 years service at the Attorney General's department. He had been a lecturer at the Law College and as a professor at the open University Nawala and the Colombo University.

With the knowledge gained from his diploma in Forensic medicine at the Jayewardenapura university Sarath Jayamanne  had authored a book"Yali mevena aparadayak" which elaborates the law on crimes.WQith his knowledge he  had been also instrumental in introducing  evidence of telephone conversations for DNA investigations.

It has been made known that in the next few days  that Sarath Jayamanne would receive the letter of appointment  as the new Director general of the Bribery and Corruption Investigation unit.
