As the number of cases accumulated  to be examined in courts are becoming greater and as it is getting delayed instead of finding solutions for that it is not appropriate to approve the charges incurred for filing cases by proposing to the budget which makes the persons who had been victimized to become  more feeble is the belief of the officials of the Ceylon Teacher's Union.

Adding further to this matter the Secretary of the Lanka Teachers Society Joseph Starling had made a plea to the Sri Lanka Law society in this regard.

The Minister of Finance Ravi Karunanayake had presented in the budget in this manner:

485 - Lodging of court fees: As a number of court cases have got accumulated. The entire legal podium is confronted with a huge task. The delay in giving verdicts have been the main cause for the setback. This is a matter of concern for the government.Hence  for any person who intents to file a case in courts a charge for it is proposed.
