Hundreds of Jaffna students protest against private colleges 16 January 2016 Hundreds of students in Jaffna took to the streets earlier this week, to protest against government plans to establish private medical colleges. Wearing their white coats, over 600 students took part in the rally, which started at the medical faculty in Thirunelveliand progressed down Palali road to the Jaffna Teaching Hospital. The students held placards that read "money doesn't measure intelligence" and "Rise up for justice!" at the rally. See more photos below.
