The Chinese Government has directly remitted money to Shiranthi’s Siriliya Account

It is revealed that the Chinese Government has directly remitted funds to the former Present Mahinda Rarapaksa’s wife’s Siriliya Bank Account. A sum of USD 75,000 has been credited to her account at one .

According to the regulations if a foreign country is granting a donation to a local non government organization the foreign country should inform this prior this before. No foreign organization can directly remit money to a local organization.

The first secretary of the Sri Lankan embassy in China was involved in this transaction and in 2010 this amount was credited to the Siriliya account.

 

it is already disclosed that the former Rajapaksa regime gave large government contracts to the Chinese government for large underhand commissions and the Chinese government has used the accounts of the Rajapaksa family to credit those funds. It is also clear that the Siriliya account too was used for the same purpose.

 

The CID has already started investigating about the remittances to the Siriliya account which was opened using a fake identity number.
