Sunanda hospitalized following accident
Senior journalist Sunanda Deshapriya, who lives in Switzerland, on March 13 slipped and fell at his home and was hospitalized with serious injuries. Speaking to Lanka News Web, Mr. Deshapriya confirmed the incident.
He has been injured below the backbone, aggravating the condition he had suffered following an assault by a group of communalists in Bentara in 1995.
He told LNW that his return to motherland, due on March 27 following a six year exile, would have to be postponed indefinitely, as doctors have advised him to refrain from walking until the injury is healed.
