Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe announced in Parliament yesterday that Governor of the Central Bank Arjuna Mahendran had taken leave of absence since last Monday to ensure impartiality and neutrality in the on-going investigation into the controversial Treasury bond issue.
The PM said that the latter would remain on leave until the investigations were over.
