Video: Mahinda’s police give voting rights for civilians in Batticaloa

The villagers of Keviliyamaduwa who had come for the propaganda rally held by Mr. Mahinda Rajapaksa in Batticaloa on the 19th have been brutally beaten by police.

The villagers have carried out an agitation demanding voting rights for them. The unarmed civilians were stripped and beaten by the police. Even pregnant women were not spared by the police in their brutal attack.

12 civilians had to be admitted to hospital to get treatment for the injuries they received as a result of police brutality
