Ranil’s security detail injured

Four police officers were wounded and hospitalised after a vehicle transporting officers assigned as Opposition Leader Ranil Wickramasinghe’s security detail was involved in an accident.
The Police Media Spokesman’s Office said that the vehicle, a SUV, had veered off the road and fallen into a precipice at around 10.20pm last night (14) in the Springvalley Estate area in Badulla.
The injure police officer have been admitted to the Badulla Hospital, however they are not in critical condition, police said.
