As we head into the final days of the federal Liberal nomination contest here in Scarborough - Rouge Park, we have an important choice to make as to who will best represent our community. I know you will be thinking carefully about who will speak most effectively for all of us here in this diverse, rapidly growing riding. From a worthy field you must select a candidate whose experience and perspective best aligns with and complements the Trudeau vision as we look forward to the 2015 federal election campaign.
I know I can be that candidate for you. In the months that have passed since I made the decision to enter this contest, I have been at the doors and in the coffee shops and local businesses, at community events and gatherings large and small. I have been fortunate enough to listen to your thoughts on the kind of leadership you feel our community needs and now more than ever, I am confident I can most effectively take on the responsibility to be your voice in Ottawa.
There is a lot we can accomplish for our community, and the first crucial step begins just two days from now.
I am requesting your support for my candidacy by attending and voting at the Scarborough Rouge Park Federal Nomination Meeting.
It is this Wednesday, August 20th, 2014, from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at the Scarborough Convention Centre, 20 Torham Place, Toronto, ON M1X 0B3
To vote at this meeting, you must have registered as a Liberal party member before August 1st, 2014, and you must live here in this riding to be eligible.
You must also have valid photo I.D. with your name and address (ex. Ontario Driver’s License). However, if you do not have valid photo I.D., you can alternatively provide:
Two (2) original pieces of identification issued by the government, a government agency, educational institute, public utility..etc. One of these documents MUST contain your address.
- ex. Health Card & Hydro Bill
- ex. Student Card + School Report Card
There is also a third option whereby a Liberal party member, as stipulated above, can vouch for another Liberal party member, as stipulated above, by taking an oath and filling out a form if attendance and verification is not possible.
With hope and hard work, I am ready and prepared to be your Liberal candidate in the next federal election. Please join me, this Wednesday evening at the Scarborough Convention Centre and vote Gary Anandasangaree for Scarborough - Rouge Park.
