While the Sinhala Zionist Bodu Bala Sena,BBS,gangsters were killing Muslims, looting and burning Muslim owned properties in Aluthgama, Dharga Town, Beruwala and the surrounding areas on June 15 and 16, 2014 in Colombo an all out effort was made to cover up this carnage with a media blackout.
This was a disaster for the local mainstream media which, by and large, had become tool in the hands of the government and Sinhala racist elements.
