(Lanka-e-News- 13.May.2014, 7.00PM) Even as Indian official information service revealed that the Pakistan High Commission office in Sri Lanka and an official of the Sri Lanka (SL) government jointly were responsible for the attacks launched on the US and Israel consulates on the Indian soil, the SL ruling regime had got down a Pakistan war naval vessel to the Colombo harbour.The Pakistan war ship PNS SHAMSHEER that is arriving today on a 3 day tour is a sophisticated Pakistan naval ship of the ‘sword’ category made in Zhonghua Shipyard Shanghai, China. The captain of the vessel is Pakistan’s naval commanding officer, Rashed Zafar. He is not only a specialist in wars but also an electronic specialist.
After the arrest of the Sri Lankan Sakeer Hussain a resident of Kandy who had been employed by the Pakistan High commission in SL to launch terrorist attacks on Indian soil , copious information have come to light . Based on this , a most leading newspaper Times of India accused in its report that, SL is now a hub for terrorist activity.
A day after this report, India while beefing up its naval security detail in the Sri Lankan territorial waters said, this measure is being taken to preclude the terrorists who are moving into India from SL. Just a day after this security beef up, 30 SL fishermen and a craft were taken into custody in India ,and the following day a further 11 fishermen were arrested by Indian aunthorities.
The haul of fish of all these fishermen were put on auction , and the fishermen were remanded in India. Despite the fact that within so short a period , the India- SL ties were breaking down swiftly and drastically , the Rajapakse regime uncaringly and unthinkingly had deemed it right to get down a sophisticated naval war ship of Pakistan at this crucial juncture. Apparently , the ruling regime is trying to take up a tough guy stance before India, ‘ Yes, we shall send terrorists against you , what are you going to say?’ seems to be the regime’s attitude.
