Govt. has not fulfilled ‘Mahinda Chinthana’ promises: Weerawansa

Minister Wimal Weerawansa who dropped a political bombshell last week threatening to pull out from the Rajapaksa regime reveals the country’s economy is about to collapse, the President is powerless, the country has failed to take measures to defeat separatism and racism and there is lack of good governance.
Minister of Engineering and Construction, Wimal Weerawansa, said James Packer's investment challenges the culture and the economy of the country, although there are several casinos already operating in the country at present. "We don't need mass-scale casinos," he said in an interview with our sister paper, Mawbima.Following are excerpts:
