New unit set up to spy on Anti-Govt personnel overseas

A new intelligence bureau consisted of handpicked officers belonging to Sri Lankan State intelligence Service (SIS) the Department of Military intelligence (DMI) has been set up by the Govt, Indian media reports.
According to news reports this new intelligence unit has been named “The International Bureau of Investigation”. Officers attached to this unit are said to have been dispatched to Sri Lankan Embassies in foreign countries to engage in their operations.
It is said that these secret agents have been assigned to the task of collecting information about the personnel who are working against the Sri Lankan Govt overseas.
According to news reports a pack of 6 intelligence officers have already been dispatched to the Sri Lankan embassies in Australia, Malaysia, Britain, Canada, India and Indonesia.
