The Census on human and property damages due to conflict – 2013, which began data collection last week is one of the key recommendations in theLessons Learnt and Reconciliation Commission report. According to astatement by the Department of Census and Statistics “The responsibility to conduct a Census to assess the human and property damages has been assigned to the Ministry of Public Administration and Home Affairs and the Department of Census and Statistics. This Census which has to be completed within six months is scheduled to be held in October, 2013.”
