Kodagoda was a Journalist and Political activist until the end of the War (in Sri Lanka) and then metamorphoses in to expressionist Painter in a Western context. His Art product can be categorize under the theme of Conceptual art.
But he expresses himself as non-artist. His condition is "absurd". From the view of the 21st century in a so called Sinhala Empire( because Tamils are colonised under the Sinhala regime now) the most persistence questions hunting western museums ever since the understanding of different kettle of expressions is the "place of Other" or Other`s discourses.
